LUX Fight League was founded on July 21, 2017 by Mexican businessman Joe Mendoza. It has grown into one of the leading MMA promotions in Mexico and has made a point of presenting a polished domestic product rather than framing itself only as a feeder league. LUX’s significance comes from giving Mexican MMA a stronger national platform at a time when the country’s combat-sports identity is still often reduced to boxing. It is a regional promotion, but one with a clear national mission and real market importance.
