Polaris Grappling was founded in 2015 by Matthew Benyon, Ben Tong, Gareth Dummer, and Lee Jones. It is a professional grappling promotion built around Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission grappling, and it has used multiple event formats including superfights, grand prix brackets, and team matches. Polaris is important because it helped give Europe a recurring large-scale pro-grappling platform with recognizable production and continuity. It sits firmly in the grappling niche, but within that space it has been one of the more durable brands.
