Unified MMA was started by Sunny Sareen, who began promoting professional MMA events in 2009. Under Sareen’s leadership, the company has grown from an Alberta-based project into one of Canada’s better-known MMA promotions, with events and talent development across the country. Unified’s strength is that it has kept its identity as a Canadian platform rather than trying to be a generic North American regional. It functions as a ladder system for Canadian fighters who need meaningful reps before they can break into bigger organizations.
