Xtreme Fight Night, or XFN, is based in Tulsa and publicly describes itself as America’s longest-running MMA promotion, with founder Dale “Apollo” Cook tracing the brand back to 1977. That makes it historically unusual, because its roots predate the modern UFC era and tie into a much earlier American fight-promotion tradition. XFN’s identity is regional but deeply established, and its longevity is a major part of the story. It survives as a reminder that organized mixed-rules fight promotion in the U.S. did not begin and end with one company.
